Digital Nut Slotting Gauge
Measure string heights quickly and accurately on any guitar
Indispensable when cutting nut slots, setting the action and checking neck relief
Forget stacking feeler gauges or guessing from marks on a ruler
Bring consistency and repeatability to your set ups
To use
- Turn on the gauge and select millimetres or inches. Set it up on the guitar so that the gauge is facing the edge of the fretboard.
- Hold the gauge firmly so that it doesn't move around and let the plunger rest on the string. Zero the gauge.
- Press the plunger to push the string down to touch the fret and take the reading.
The problem with traditional methods
Estimating strings height using feeler gauges is slow, cumbersome and leads to many issues. Mentally adding up sizes can lead to mistakes, and accuracy relies on a subjective feel of friction. String action rulers are no better due to parallax error.
The solution
The digital gauge side-steps all of these issues and is clean, fast and accurate. Bring consistency to your setups and remove the guesswork entirely.
